3. Why We Collect It (Legal Basis)
We collect your data on the basis of your freely given, specific and informed consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and PECR). You consented to receive SMS messages from local trade businesses about their services, offers and availability in your area.
We keep a record of the exact consent wording and timestamp as required by UK GDPR.
4. How Your Data Is Used
Your mobile number and postcode are shared with local trade businesses (plumbers, gas engineers, electricians, roofers and general builders) operating in your area, so they can contact you by SMS about their availability and services.
We do not sell your data to third parties outside of this stated purpose. We do not use your data for automated profiling or decisions with legal effects.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for a maximum of 12 months from the date of registration, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see section 7).
6. How to Opt Out of SMS
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any SMS you receive. Your number will be added to our suppression list immediately and no further messages will be sent.
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
